I love this place. They get ton's of wonderful things donated from the caring community, clothes, books, appliances, and bits and bobs. They have free organic coffee (and it's stttttrrronnng).
There is a wonderful lending library with a great selection of books, also rental video's and DVD's.The Blackrose Collective has been around for 2 years now, the free porch has been going for nearly 6 years and the Mississippi cooperative home next door has been a collective community home for over 10 years.
So once you run out of money from paying the ridiculously un-sustainable high prices for new housing in the neighborhood, or you can't find a job to pay the outrageous amounts, stop in and pick up a warm, dry jacket for the winter, pick up a tent for when you get evicted from your condo.Or just come and meet the culturally diverse community members who cannot afford to, or feel comfortable shopping at all the cream puff stores on Mississippi.
